There are 2 Phases to A Battle for A Believer: The Battle & The Victory!

The Two Phases should actually be a given. We should understand both the Battle & Victory thereafter. However, you can go through a battle for so long, that all you remember to do is breathe. Life can hit with such blunt trauma that one could be left with an internal heart injury that bleeds into the Victory Stage.

There are great lessons through the Battle Stage, but it was never intended for us to stay there. Imagine coming out one of the most trying and crippling seasons of your life, and when it is time to speak on it, you bypass every step orchestrated to bring you out and amplify the Victory in God!

If the Enemy had his way, that Battle Season would have taken you out. The thought that, “I would have fainted, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” -Psalm 27:13 You see, there is a great robbery connected to gazing on the Battle Phase for too long.

Just as someone pursuing a PhD., they are well aware of the years before them, not including their fellowship for additional educational training. As they dawn that stage for the hooding ceremony, no challenging course; no problematic professor; or life changing event eclipses the elation. If anything it is the pre-cursor to their Victory Strut.

Let’s change the narrative. What would happen if we refrain from being the loudest to gripe about the hardship connected to the battle, to actually walking in Revelation 12:11, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Open your mouth and tell of His Goodness!

Release the Word of Praise that is due to Him! I cringe when people say that you should not share what the Lord did, because people will not be happy for you. If your intentions are pure and it provides an avenue to give God Total Praise- do not allow the Enemy to have you go into Witness Protection-mode when you have an opportunity to be a billboard for Christ.

That Victory Phase is vital because, as you suit up for this assignment in God, you will find yourself going in and out of Battles. God allows us to experience reprieves to honor Him and see how far we have come in obeying Him. How many moments do you remember going all out to acknowledge God’s keeping and sustaining power?

I do appreciate the observances that the Jewish Culture does in honoring God. Here are just a few to glean from …Purim, Celebrating the rescue of the Jews in ancient Persia from Haman's plot. Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles, Remembering God's miraculous protection in temporary shelters during the desert wandering after the Exodus. The last one really caught my attention, when was the last time we had a Victory Dance in God, for having rest? There are people so bogged down with life, who wished they could have sweet rest. In God is found that deep, good sleep, because we are able to cast every care upon Him, because He cares for us! This last observance highlighted is…Shabbat, it is a weekly observance of the rest that we have in remembering God as Creator and Redeemer, and the blessing connected to the Spiritual Renewal of His rest!

Beloved, remember to finish strong and show up for that Award Ceremony. We brag differently in the Kingdom. The Glory belongs to God. The perseverance is because of God. The growth developed will always point back to God! Now, get your Victory Dance on!

Divine Work & Pray:

Work:

Jot down in your Divine Design Journal some of the reason Battles Won. Write out a Gratitude Letter to God.

Pray:

Father God, to the One who remains undefeated. You will forever be the Victor. You are anxious for nothing. You will allow matters to play out all while knowing that providentially Your Will will be done. Help me to remember that Both Phases: The Battle and The Victory points back to You! Thank you for your empowerment and perspective. I am eternally grateful for Your Sovereignty and Direction. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
