It Would be a Bad One to Quit Now!
You are probably thinking I am going to say, “You’re too close to quit now.” However, that is no where in the vicinity for where I am going with this blog. When God gives you a Word, for however long it takes, we are not to quit. There are so many examples in the Bible who had years behind their Waits. Abraham & Sarah waited 25 years for Isaac. David had a 15 year span between being anointed by Samuel and kingship. Joseph endured 13 years from prison to power, and being able to bless his brothers, who sold him off.
When we are in the heart of Season Changes, we often wait with bated breath for the next season. Going from the bitterness of that season that we find testing and disappointment. Wondering when it will ever move to sunny skies and changes that allow for a more desired wardrobe. However, there are some moments that we actually miss out on by just awaiting the outcome. How do we wait? Do we wait with annoyance and doubt or do we choose to wait with continued wonderment of how God is going to do it?
One of the most devastating reality is giving up before the finish that God predestined for you! At the end of the day, no one has a more fulfilling and enriching ending than what God has for you. We talk about trusting the process, so if “God is not a Man that He would lie”, We can put our whole weight on Him. As we put our trust in Him, there are stages of maturity in the processing.
Focusing more on how long it will be, can become counterproductive to all that God is endowing you with to walk out His Will for your life. There are so many benefits to not living a life of haste. Think about the long suffering that God exercised in waiting for you to surrender. It is liberating to truly take God’s Plan off of a human calendar.
He literally knew you before you were formed in your mother’s womb. He knows what we are in need of and God will never have to move in haste because He stands outside of time and His Timing is Perfect both in A.M. and P.M. It is nothing for God to intervene. Luke 23 speaks of 3 hours of darkness coming over the land while Jesus Christ was on the Cross!
Let us pause for a moment to give God praise! God has built us with perseverance and a will power to stand so that His Purpose may be fulfilled! As Believers, we do not just quit on us, but we actually quit on God. We quit on the people He has designed for us to impact. Have you ever really thought about how many people are connected to your, “Yes Lord?” How many are depending on you to Show Up? How many are encouraged by your walk?
It would be really bad for you to quit now because you did not go into this Season with the desire to be called anything other than a Victor. Victory is found in the God who you serve. There is an expected end in God! Do not allow people, places, things, or time to strip you of that ending. Grab hold to that Word He gave you again and wait with anticipation; wait with your hands up; wait with a voice that speaks triumph! You do not need the expiration date, you have The Promise!
